Hi, all
I just signed up for Kelowna half marathon on March 28 just to spice up my training a bit.   I have never done it before, so I don't know what the course is like.  Can anyone describe it to me?  Is it hilly or flat?

I would really appreciate your input.
Thanks

Great route if it is similar to a few years ago...more downhill than up, with some rolling hills, and a couple of very fast descents. The a 5-7km flat stretch to finish.

There have been some issues with the semi-private road where the race starts, and you will get some very nasty looks form the locals as you pass through their little neighborhood. Each year, they threaten to blockade the route, so I don;t know if they have had to change the course or not at this point. Seems crazy that they would be upset about a bunch of healthy people running quietly down the street, but I think it is the principle of the matter, and they are unhappy with UBCO using their street for access to the University.

This year's 1/2 route does not actually go campus to campus.  It starts and ends at OK college.  It is somewhat hilly (you end up running down knox, so you have to get up there somehow).  Here is the link to race home page: http://www.okanagan.bc.ca/Page12328.aspx
