I left Vernon at 5:30am Sunday morning for the 11:30am start time in Surrey for the CAT 3 Campbell Heights Road Race 96km.  No team mates to race with so the plan was to stay near the front and be ready to go with any attacks that might stay away.  Two guys got off the front with around 18km to go and then another one tried to chase them down.  I didnt know who the the riders were so I wasnt that concerned.  With my great luck they managed to stay away right to the finish.  The rest of us had a field sprint and I managed to cross the line in 5th place overall.  Long ways to travel for a race and miss the winning break!  I started cramping in my quads AGAIN around 65km into the race.  Still trying to find a solution.  A little disappointed with the result but all and all it was still fun to race and finish safely.
