Hi Everyone,

A group of Kelowna'ites met for a hike/run today in the Crawford trails - what an amazing day to be running!!!!

We started with a 2 hour loop for some of the folks that had to jet early (normal lives to lead and food to be eaten) - we ran some awesome single track with the temp. being just right in the shade. Well done to Sarah and Angela who joined us for the first time and did an amazing job - and to Jeff and Martin for adding to the fun banter of the group.

Peter and I then continued on for a few more hours - we had planned to run for 4.5 - but as we were climbing the trails we were getting closer and closer to the KVR - we set our sites on that and kept plugging away. We finally pulled the pin with about 1km to go up as we were both feeling pretty smashed and Pete's dog Hannah was getting hotter and hotter. I would like to say the run down was great - but it hurt. I kept managing to trip on rocks as I was getting so tired and I think I have broken some toes (oooppppss Undecided). We got back to car after 5 hours 10 minutes and 30km of pure trail running pleasure - nice to get some long miles in the legs for some upcoming races.

Thanks Pete for your company - anyone who would like to join us is more than welcome - the next one will be on the 27th June.

Chris

OK...you've certainly raised the bar on enduro running for all of us but Jen Segger!! What a day you guys!

I'm quite sure you didn't have adequate food and water for your unplanned 5 hour run/hike....drink up these next few days boys.

Hope the toes are OK Chris.
