As I gradually ease myself into training after a week of recovery and a massive family reunion, I'm blown away reading the forum and talking with athletes.

I'm in awe of those prepping for their first Ironman, completing some massive bricks, and long rides.
I'm in awe of those driving to find a decent lake and swimming 4km before heading out in the trails for a 20km run.
I read the race reports from our mountain bike athletes, and see them digging out the energy week after week to pound the climbs and shred the downhill, even after a healthy dose of crashes.
I see mountain bikers trying out triathlon, and shredding with hairy legs!
I see athletes coming back to run PBs after patiently getting over injuries.
I hear of athletes running into a road block with cramping or bonking, and figuring it out to smash another crit or huge training ride.
Mostly, I see a wave of passion, enthusiasm, and joy while posting about gritting teeth, grinding hills, powering through headwinds, hammering technical trails, pounding the salt, and crossing the line.

I know that I'm a part of this, but from the couch this week, you all simply blow my mind with your dedication to training and passion to race. Kudos.
