Unofficial results...
58:40 for my first ever 40km TT.
LBP+10 to LBP+15 for the whole trip. I thought I would be able to control my HR a bit better, but realized early that if I wanted to break an hour, I was going to have to work MUCH harder than that.

Breathing felt challenged the entire way, and this evening it feels like I inhaled ground glass.

Simon ROCKED it, and Sean McEvoy raced really well considering he had a big week of training this week. Results should be up on the BC Masters site soon, and I will post my Polar HR curve to show you that though I always suggest you train under control, racing is a different story...

Just a quick update about the Salmon Arm Masters TT ...

I also raced this TT and came in just over 58 mins.  Tongue
I've gone faster on this course and it felt really hard as Andrew described.  Cry
The first part of the race is kinda a false flat with some wind issues ... It puts you in the "Cave" very quickly. The return trip is flat to down hill where the speed is quicker.

My handling skills were a little off today as I went MEGA hot into several corners and was wondering how it was gonna turn out. I actually went off course into a ditch and gravel and had to hop off the bike. At least I didn't go down ... Take home message ... Lay off the Sat nite Spritzers  Cry

Post race I felt tired but not totally cooked ...
I also experimented with some huge gearing which may have affected my speeds on the tougher sections.

All in all ... I'm OK with the time ... Any time you can go sub 1 hr for a 40k TT it's always good.

Tx ...

SC Kiss

PS ... HR/Speed file is below
