just found out that a second gal I know fell off her bike and # her clavicle!! Now I know that shouldn't freak me out but it does...I am sooo distracted - I do the feel like wrapping up in cotton wool and not going out..but I do have so key workkouts left... guess I just ahve to keep my head in the game and pay attention to what I am doing..and like Ginny says enjoy the adventure..
(but I am still freaking out...)

I hear you....I always feel like that in the last few weeks...don't drop the book on your toe, don't slam the door on your finger...don't trip on the mat....basically don't be a Klutz.

Replace the thoughts by what you ARE going to do. I am going to ride safe, as always. I am going to eat super well, fuel my body like and athlete. I am going to sleep plenty, but not be worried if I'm not sleeping. I'm going to be grateful to be on the start line, grateful to have the opportunity to give it everything I've got. Enjoy those around you. Share in the excitement. Be proud of your accomplishment....oh ya, and don't walk into the light post.

Hi Tamara - I think everyone goes through the swaddle stage as a big race approaches - this is part of the 'life' situation - as we need to deal with the reality outside of race day. Keep the thoughts positive and have fun with your last few workouts.

Also - how is the bike going??
Give me some feedback!!

well the good news is I'm not freaking out about the bike:)
I lOVE the smooth ride of the carbon - and it feels great climbing- maybe I'm just imagining it but what the heck Smiley ( I did get the tribars cut to a better length - (Thanks  Brock)
today riding in the wind down from predator I thought ohh- maybe is it a little twitchy but then Mel said she was feeling some big pushes too..so overall it is great Grin I guess I am used to bikes not being perfect with my unproportional femur length Roll Eyes
Thanks again for your help- really appreciate it!!!
