Can anyone comment on what to eat the week of the race.  I suspect fewer veggies on the day prior to the race but how long should I keep this up.  Veggies help keep me human and I kind of dread excluding them for too long.  Also, how many days prior should I be drinking electrolyte containing fluids.  Or is the day before sufficient?

I'm no expert, but I would eat normally all week, normal amount of veggies and all. I don't think it helps to avoid veggies. It may just bung you up Wink

I think you should be thinking about fluid intake ALL WEEK! Most of us are chronically dehydrated, so don't let that happen race week. If you don't want the flavour or extra calories all week, you could just put an eCap (not the discs) in your water. Don't pound the water, because that just goes straight through you, just keep sipping all day. You may want keep track of how much you are drinking by ticking off a list, or preparing bottles and putting them in the fridge.
