Hey Ya'll,
I am not sure what to think regarding over a weeks worth of Fit Tests on the RS800cx.  I started out using the Polar RX800cx and recorded some early #'s of 57 and 58.  I had been a little fatigued from hockey and a few other training sessions but nothing I deemed extreme.  The trend did seem to match how I was feeling with fatigue and training volume.. untill this weekend!

So in the last four days we had the super hammer Fest Foolish Fours (thursday), 2.5 hours skate skiing on Friday, 3.5 hours skate skiing on Saturday where I was totally exhausted, and finally an intense hockey game Sunday night seeing me log a lot of ice time.. 
friday - 58
saturday - 60
sunday - 61
Monday - 61
I am very confused as to why the trend of the fit test goes up as I totally hammered myself into the ground the last 4 days.  I would have expected to see the #'s drop but the opposite happened.

I have observed similar trends at times with my RS800cx.
Although I spent mega time in the cave, it was clear that my cardiac system was not being as stressed as I thought.

I have subsequently done some Mega above Bp stuff and it has registered a decline in my numbers.
As Andrew suggests ...
"The feeling of fatigue could be either neuro or msk ... It is possible that you have reset your Central Governor to a new level leading to higher Fit Test result."

Mabey all that JD you drink at hockey is aiding in your cardiac recovery Huh

I agree, the Fit Test is only one variable to consider. Remember the study that showed those who responded by decreasing the intensity of training on days when the Fit Test results were low performed better after 8 weeks compared to those who continued training at the regular scheduled intensity regardless of Fit Test results.

The more you record, and understand, your biomarkers, the more information you will have to help direct your progress.
