We have a couple of athletes who will be no where near water for long stretches this winter. Swim cords are a great way to keep swim technique, stretch, range of motion, and coordination going.
I like this youtube clip

Much like a treadmill, it's not all that exciting, but good music certainly helps. I simple workout could be using your music to guide your session aka 1 song drill, 1 song full stroke. It takes some time to get coordinated enough to do full stroke well, so you may need to start out with 2 minutes of full stroke, 5 min drill.
Using a cadence meter is really helpful for the full stroke, again, once you have the skill. You need to make sure the resistance is light enough that you can move through the stroke at quicker cadence.
Has anyone used cords, and got any good ideas?
