Almost 3 hours with Simon, Peter W, Rob Spiller, and Jen. - Dialed it back after the first 20 mins near balance point as the realization that there would be no way I would be able to ski that long near my limit.  As it were, BP -20 on the flats and bp -5 on the hills left me super fatigued at the end.  The Quail says "thanks for waiting for him".
Coaches - I did lay down a few times but it was not part of my stroke volume workout. Ouch

The only key element to your workout is that you are TOTALLY BAKED so that BPR 'B' Team doesn't get crushed at the spin-a-thon. Hopefully your team mates are equally cooked. Wink

Ginny, you will be happy to hear that my ski was no BP -20!!! I was over my BP by +5 to +10 for 80% of the 3 hr ski and felt better than I ever have skiing..... seriously (I know my fellow teamates were getting sick of me repeating how good I felt today)! I felt fast, strong and reasonably comfortable (was able to keep my technique and breathing under control) Thanks Peter and Spiller for the awesome tips on technique!! I can't wait to work on climbing the hills more efficiently!  Also, wondering if my BP is considerably different XC skiing? I have heard that using your upper body XC skiing increases your HR by approx. 20%.... vs biking? Biking at BP +5 to +10 would require some serious focus on a bike... especially for a few hours. See everyone tomorrow!!! Should be fun!
