A short note to start the year off...it is going to be EPIC. Riders sugning up for some big challenges already, and bikes arriving almost daily. Watch for some new Cannondales and a couple of Treks to lead out some big races this year! We have seen a number of athletes through the holidays for testing, with universally good results. If you do not have a firm training plan from your coaches for January, it is time to make contact with us!!!

One last item...training this week WILL take place at the Next Level Athlete as usual!!! The business is up for sale, but they have assured us they will be open for us on Thursday. We will cotninue to meet there each week unless otherwise posted. See you all there.

Plans for our return to Team Training at The Next Level are taking place, and the coaching crew are planning on bringing a whole new level of expectations to the group. This Thursday will mark the return of Chris to Canada, and a new goal of improving his own running, while helping fin some answers to a few others looking to make the big change in performance this season. We will also be welcoming Majo back, with her special way of making us smile, while she puts a serious hurt on us all. I hope you have all been working on your ab-rollers. Bring yours along for the extra challenge that Jen Schulz will be laying down. Ginny and I will be in attendance to develop some more dynamic skills out on the field, and to check in with those we have not seen since before Christmas.

A few other items for the team to consider. Salty Dog sold out in record time, but we have a HUGE crew registered for the first premier event of the year.

Bikes are arriving at the Sellars home every few days it seems, and there are some very nice Cannondales just waiting for the snow to recede enough for us to ride safely around the lake.

The Joshua Tree camp has been planned for March 11-18. I hope to hear a positive response from a few people who have shown interest, and will encourage everyone once again to join me for a few days of testing with Juerg Feldmann, and an incredible opportunity to look deeper into our physiologic limitations.

Saturday's EES session is scheduled for a 9:00am start at Silverstar, with a similar format to our last session there. Unfortunately, due to the tragic death of a good friend, Tom Stewart has asked to postpone his talk to another week-end. Our thoughts go out to Lorne Bodin's friends and family, and we ill look forward to Tom's talk in the near future.

Take a few minutes to review your goal setting sheets, and be prepared to share your plans with the group on Saturday. Other topics of conversation will include SV training and Fit Test changes since our last meeting.

Driving up to Silver Star:

As you approach the village, there are two overpasses, or bridges. You only go under the first one, then turn R at the first entrance to condos Creekside. Follow the road down to the last building.

On the front L corner of the building there are steps down to the common room area. If you are later than 9am, come around the back to the hot tub, and you'll see us in the common room.

Bring ALL your gear. The DH was stellar today. If it doesn't snow tonight, the xc will be beautiful. The ski just opened up, and the sun is shining. So do what ever makes you smile...DH, XC, SS, or for some of us, perhaps just hot tub!!
