I just noticed, while stretching, that the left side of my abdominals is considerably larger and stronger than my right. Does anyone else have this?

Any ideas what it could be caused by?

Hey Peter

he he...just had to say it...

But seriously, do you do other activities where the abs have to work asymetrically? Do you really notice a strength difference, or just imagining it? If it actually affects your sport, you know what to do....work on the weak side.

A few years back, I spent a year and a half riding a bike with one crank that was shorter than the other crank... without noticing. How did I find out they were different? Measuring my quads for a class, and my right quad was a full inch bigger!

When I finally went back to 2 same sized crank length's, I ran into some troubles, and think the muscle imbalance contributed to my patellar Tendinitis that I had last spring. Lots of single leg strengthening to catch my weak one back up, and I've had no problems since.

Do lots of core work, focus on right side exercises and you'll be golden.
