Our annual training camp was cancelled this year due to poor registration, which we are chalking up to a crazy summer of incredible events taking place in the Okanagan, and a general willingness of many athletes to go out and enjoy the training on their own, rather than have our support for the week-end.

Having said that, Ginny has arranged for a mega swim/bike/run couple of days in Penticton to coincide with the annual pilgrimage of thousands of other Ironman athletes putting the final touches on their prep for Ironman Canada. So we are heading south on Sunday afternoon for a late afternoon run on the dyke, an early morning swim on holiday Monday, and a mega tour of the Ironman loop.

We are not offering any coaching, but watch for us on the road and in the lake, and join the hordes of others on the course if you are interested.

There is also a small group of BPR elite offering to pummel me up and down the bike park at Silverstar on Saturday...full face helmets mandatory.

And for those Masters athletes NOT riding in Penticton, there is a Masters TT on Sunday in Salmon Arm, and a Road Race on Monday, hosted by Olav Stana.

Wherever you end up this week-end, be safe, enjoy the sun, and train/race/fall/laugh to your absolute limit!
