Just read a great response by the Guardian with respect to comments made by L.M. Neufeld concerning Vernon Bike Lanes ...

I think we all need to take an active role in the promotion of bike friendly commuter paths in the Okanagan. Having just witnessed the incredible area surrounding Canmore, it is even more clear to me the positive impact that bike lanes and multi-use trail systems can have on the health and wellness of a community. There are hundreds of hikers, cyclists, walkers, climbers, kids and the elderly all making use of the intricate network of trails...it should be the model for every small town in Canada.
