This race I came up with the plan of starting slow for the first 2 km then push it hard for the last 7 km .the weather was perfect alot better then saturday in which i was at swim club for 1 1/2 hours then banged off 3 hour mtb ride with some of the BPR dudes in the rain so all and all i was wet ALL day...The first 2 k of the race when as plan , heart rate was AROUND -5 & rpm 98-100 . the next 5 km I went hard & made up several spots untill the last 2 km ,which was straight up, my motor blow a gasget and seemed that i was digging a hole stright to china PLUS it seemed everone around me dance up the hill like a deer. So some deep thought into this .in the last 3 weeks i have done a 10k,18k,9k race & the only thing to explain my "hitting the great  wall of china"  is this simple math equation ..... N (representrace distance) - 2 = distance of which i grenade from fininsh.Next week will be better.

I think you will still be funny no matter what!  Yes you can do very well eventually!  No doubt as you are so tenacious!

Yeah - was great to the see Schleck out for another running beating - this guys is tenacious and is a force to reckon with - no doubt.

My race went OK - I managed to keep Warren in sight till about 5km - then lost him on the long decent - his co-ordination is so much stronger than mine!!! The last mile was brutal!!! Relentless grade, and not knowing the course I had no idea how the pain was going to last. I have kept saying this all year, but my lack of running volume is really hampering my strength late into races! Time to fix that - making a start here in KONA!!!

Great work Warren - keep it up and see you at the Kelowna race on the 16th.
