BPR athlete Sean McEvoy has set off on a mammoth adventure in Tasmania Australia!

He is the 4th member of a team from B.C., Team Wild Rose.

733km with 52 checkpoints. The events include ocean paddling, caving in closed caves, mtn biking, trekking, whitewater paddling, There are massive sections such as 65km trek, 105km single track ride, 75km paddle....it blows the mind. They will raise the bar by doing it all sleep deprived!

48th after day one, but now running in 28th just a couple of hours behind the leaders. Team Wild Rose is having a strong race. Anyone who was at BCBR this year will probably remember Sean's team mates, Bart, VJ, and Mike. Send your positive energy their way. They still have at least 72 hours of racing ahead of them!

Last report showed them in 21st!!! No doubt Bart is setting pace through the bush with a long steady stride. Next up is a long easy mtb ride and mandatory rest stop.

GO WILD ROSE!!

Sean's Team (Wild Rose) is now running/paddling/riding in the top 20!!!! Teams are dropping like flies, and  Wild Rose is picking them off as they fall. Great effort. Incredible to think they have been pushing hard now for 4 days, and still have a couple days of torture left. True grit!

I think some of the Wild Rose guys have been in a number of the FMIJ races I have done. They have a great navigator which will be key as the race goes on. Go Team. And watch out for those tassie tigers.............

It appears they have survived, to finish 19th overall on a truly EPIC course. Some of the photos are amazing, and the site had a great shot of Bart (team captain) up close and personal.

Very little details about the crew, and their day to day exploits, but I hope Sean will share some of his adventures with us once he has recovered.

Congratulations Sean McEvoy and TEAM WILD ROSE!!!
