I missed the mega morning with the crew, but did get out for 90 minutes, and was really thankful that I ran into Dave and Monica, who kept me company, and under control. The fact that they were on classic helped, and the cramping was much easier to control when I wasn't thrashing myself solo. Trails are in GREAT shape, and Thomsen is coming to town this weekend. Hope to see everyone up there to join in watching how it is SUPPOSED to look!

Let's ski like one big happy family next weekend..  Our ski was over 2 hours long and even though I tried to pace myself for the first hour and a half, I was still hurting pretty good at the end.  I witnessed Jeff Sherstobitoff in mid-season form with The Captain doggedly pursuing him up a monster climb!  The Captain has not lost his zest for pain!

Sunday was another suffer-fest for me as I was lucky enough to be taken into the backcountry for a day of ski-touring a great group of friends who were patient with my Split-Boarding antics!  I'm sure I cooked myself on the first climb as skinning was totally new to me.  Midway up the second climb, my hips were so fried from bad form and struggling to make the sharp, switch back turns!  (Blower powder turns on both runs made it all worht while)
** Thanks David Nelson (technical motivator behind me), Big Ring Schulz (partner in pain - She had her own issues with skins), Peter W. (My main technical advisor on the day), and Tanille( she kept things light!).  Jeff S and Trent M kept things safe for us.. **
