I'm looking for anyone who wants to do the 300 k Randonneur ride with me from Penticton. The only catch with the Randonneur Club is they would require you to join the club and do the 200 k first. It is at the organizers discretion, so sometimes they waive having to do the 200 first for those who have done lots of mileage. But if you want to join me for the 200 k as well, it's from Kamloops April 21.

Well...the 300km ride would make a huge weekend for everyone racing Salty on Sunday, but perhaps the perfect prep for those racing Transalp in June. I probably wouldn't do the whole 300km, but would consider going down with a crew interested in putting some big road miles in, and having an excuse to give Shawn a drafting train to follow for a couple of hundred km. I have added it to th BPR calendar just in case people want to experience the pain of randonneur riding...

The 200km ride in Kamloops in April is perfect timing for just about everyone (except thos eof us lucky enough to be in Mallorca). Jenny Gayfer had talked about hosting a training weekend there last year. Perhaps this would be a good weekend to send everyone out to Looperville for a weekend of big rides, starting with an easy cruise on Friday evening, the Randonneur on Saturday, and wrapping up with another road ride or mtb day on Sunday. Give everyone a break from the Tour de Lac route, and allow for some more team bonding during some early season miles.

The 200 k is April 21. I'm happy to open my tiny house to visitors as well. And we have a camper that shouldn't be too cold at that time of year.
