West Kelowna Trails

Hi All,

I wanted to drop a quick note to say that the District of West Kelowna has started the master planning of their Recreational Trails (read: hiking/running/mt.biking/etc.). This means that they are starting to think long term about maintenance, connectivity, and planning of their trails network within the community and to Crown Lands beyond. Mark your calendars, as an open house will be held on February 21, but more details on that to come closer to the time.

In the meantime, if you have any GPS data for any trails over here, please forward them on to me, and I'll make sure that they are incorporated into the plan early in the process.

Contact me if you have any quetsions on format, etc. but generally .kmz files work (google earth) 

Please pass this request on to anyone else you may know with data.

Is this including trails around the Rose Valley dam?
There is some great new trail development going on in there!

Yup, those trails will be considered as part of this project. Maybe not as formalization, but at least they will be recognized and future planning will help protect them.
