17 year-old Junior Elite Triathlete Ever since I can remember, I have loved doing sports and have tried soccer, skating, ballet, hockey, and swimming, but NOTHING compares to triathlon! I not only love racing but everything that goes into training and preparing for all three events so that I am ready to push myself physically and mentally in a race, always striving to reach my goals. I have been competing in Triathlons since I was 7 in KOS, and at the age of 12 qualified and competed in the AB summer games, placing 5th. Two years ago, my family moved to Kelowna to pursue better training opportunities and we are so incredibly grateful to have found Balance Point Racing! As a Junior Elite with aspirations of competing for Canada, I fully believe in BPR’s philosophy of ‘training with balance so you can race with passion’. I love training under Luke Way and Andrew Sellars, alongside the rest of the BPR group, whether it is scaling some mountain on snowshoes, 3 hour structural rides in the rain, chasing KOM’s, grueling track sessions, or early morning swims at Gyro. My heart races whenever I think of my next race – I just love it!:)
Aside from triathlon, I enjoy being online for school, long trail runs or hikes, spending time at the lake, cheering for the Oilers, running my baking business, reading when I get a chance, and spending time with my friends and family. Besides my triathlon dreams, I am hoping to pursue physiotherapy after High School.
Long Term Goals
To continue to get stronger structurally in all three disciplines, so that I can keep improving every year.
Continue to chase my dream of becoming a Pro Elite ITU Triathlete, racing on the WTS circuit for Team Canada in pursuit of Worlds and the Olympics.
Progress, with my brothers, to the top level of the sport, while continuing to love what I do!:)
