What is Balance Point Racing?

Balance Point Racing specializes in coaching and physiological testing for triathlon and endurance sport. We combine experience in competitive endurance sport with an insatiable interest in exercise science to guide you in your athletic journey.

Essential elements to making progress as an athlete include consistency, recovery, and physiological challenge. We use a unique system for testing physiological biomarkers to determine the best intensity of exercise for training. Our programs rely on information gathered through FaCT Lactate Balance Point testing. While the information gathered is complex, the application simply requires a thoughtful approach by the athlete, with constant feedback from a certified coach interested in your long-term development.

Race the Ridge Success for BPR

The team made their way to the coast for the annual Race the Ridge this past weekend.

Top honours go out to Ginny Sellars, who dominated the Cat 3/4 Women - winning the road race and TT, and missing out in a sprint for the crit. Steve Ushy put in a solid effort - crashing in the road race bridging up to the lead group he was able to hang on in the main group to stay in contention. A solid TT and crit put him in 4th for the Cat 3/4 Men. Matt Ewonus was there in support of Steve - with some minor stomach issues, Matt hung in there for 19th Overall! Way to tough it out Matt. Finally - Jen Schulz was racing Cat 1/2 Women - finishing in the pack on the road race - surviving through some difficult times - showing improvement in her TT performance, and hanging in there for the Crit, Jen came in 9th Overall.

Congrats to the cyclists - constant improvements being made!!
